I went to my Moms Bible Study today. We are studying the book of James. It is a wonderful book of the Bible. He is writing about not favoring one person over another, and we are learning the correlation of the message to motherhood, with multiple children. And James also talks about favoring the rich over the poor. And how we must have Christ in our hearts. It is the condition of the heart, and not the wallet, whether rich or poor. Either one is no better than the other, but it is what you do with what you have that matters to the Lord.
James 2:
8If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture,
"Love your neighbor as yourself," you are doing right.
9But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers.
10For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point
is guilty of breaking all of it.
11For he who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said, "Do not murder."
If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker.
