Hope is upset Huckabee is not number 1 in New Hampshire, too
Why? It is all those independant's fault. They want McCain.
Don't fret, it'll be ok, once they come south, mommy...
So, the NH polls are coming to a close. And I am sad to say Huck did not come in on top in this state, but I am not surprised. Consider the state. And on the same day I received my t-shirt "Huckabee Rock". That's aight, though.
I went to a Power-Packed Tuesday this morning at Bellevue. My mentor, Jean Stockdale was the speaker, then we went to break away groups and heard a different speaker. The lecture today was on People-How can I live with them? I think that was the title. I tell you, Ms Jean cracks me up! Then I went to a seminar on dealing with difficult people. Very good talk as well, by Mrs. Phil Weatherwax. Most of the ladies my age went to a seminar on understanding and living with their husbands. But I would have to be living with my husband right now to benefit from that one, lol. No, but truthfully, we have a beautiful marriage, and I didn't want to hear things I have heard in countless other seminars, on the marriage subject, and decided on the one about difficult people. You know, so I can tell my friend how to deal with those types of people....
Connor started violin yesterday. He loved his lesson. He told me when we were home later, "My teacher says I'm a crow"!! I said, you mean, she said you are a pro? "Yeah!" Oh, I love these little slips. THey are one of my greatest joys ever!!
There were thunderstorms galore today after we got home from church.
I just wanted a hot bath, and I couldn't because of all the lighting. So, I took advantage of the scary weather, and taught the kids about tornado drills, where we would take cover, staying away from windows, and even gave them my best rendition of the sound the siren would make, should the fire station down the road have to alert us to take cover! They got so excited. I had to run to the bathroom, and in runs Connor, telling me "I just heard on the news that there is a tornado near Memphis" (it was in Arkansas). He also was worried about our family in Arkansas, which was cute! Then, we were expecting a family from our church to stop by at 6:00. By the time they showed up, the kids were soooo wound up and ready to show off in any way they could. And that included, but is not limited to: riding the toddler trike around the circular parts of the house, playing the piano very loudly, getting a tape measure out and measuring everything in the living room, sitting on a sofa table, and, hmmm....oh, and throwing balls around the house. Anyway, they came and went, and we went on. I have to get them in bed soon, sooo... I'm out!
